Antique Victorian ring. 14k yellow gold, natural topaz, diamonds. Made circa 1850-60's. Measurements: US size 8.5. Weighs 9.5 grams. ******Gems****** Description: Cluster ring with all the bells and whistles. A facted natural topaz in the center. Oval shaped and apricot in color. Surrounded by a ring of lovely old mine cut diamonds. Quality of the diamond detail superior to most diamonds seen in jewelry of this period. The shoulders and shank are no less interesting with naturalistically modelled foliage through which a pair of snakes are peeping. Loops and details are all in 3-dimentions. The rest of the double shank is textured and detailed like the scales on a serpent. Marks: No marks but gold was tested to confirm metal purity.
