This listing is for a unique 1797 half dime graded and slabbed by PCGS in almost uncirculated 55, mint error. This coin is a series 24, coin 2-A which was struck on a defective planchet. It is a 16 star variety. The patina is a very appealing gunmetal silver with outstanding detail. This coin is also encapsulated in a PCGS old green holder (OGH) Will gladly supply more photos upon request asap.We have a 30 day policy for accepting returns. However, when coins are certified and slabbed by the four independent grading services, those coins do not qualify for return privilege. All potential buyers please note: In November of 2017 Heritage auction Baltimore sale realized $9,900 for only an AU -50 1797 half dime. However, after extensive research I could not fine another mint error from this date. This is a population 5 with only 19 higher.
