ANTIQUE FOLK ART EFFIGY CARVED WOOD PRIMITIVE SPOON AND STAND - $245 - (Cambridge, MN)
This is an old primitive hand carved wood folk art spoon. The bowl has an old repair that is tied together before the break in the bowl. The break fits together so that it could be glued (but not by me). There is a chip and and ½ inch tight crack on the opposite side. The bowl is 5 inches across and 2 inches deep. The handle is marvelous. There are 2 detailed men along with other carvings. and you couldn’t ask for better patina. The curved handle is 10 inches long with the carved portion being approx.. 5 ¾ inches and 1 ½ deep. The new wood display stand was obviously made specifically for this piece. I have This is an antique carved wood dipping spoon. I believe the bowl is coconut and the effigy handle is wood. I have had this so long I cannot remember any information that I received when I purchased it. Please contact me if you need any additional information.
