ANTIQUE MURPHY BED – all original. One family owned since late 19th Century. $2850I will be glad to answer all questions. We are selling due to medical expenses and surgery. Serious bidders only! In excellent condition. It is all original. Original mirror. Made by the Welch Co. of Michigan. This may go back as far as the Civil war era. I do not know. Our family is the original owner. Handed down generation to generation. The bed was owned by my great-grandfather who was born in the 1860s. From the front the bed looks like an armoire. The door on the front opens to a large storage space. But when the “armoire” is rolled out away from the wall, the bed will lower from the back and rest on the floor. It folds up and down easily with one hand. I am not an antiques expert and I do not know what kind of wood it is made of, but I am guessing oak. Nor can I identify the style. We are in TN. Pick up is preferable. However we will assist buyer with shipping but buyer pays all shipping costs. We will assist with packing by finding a local company to pack it but buyer pays packing costs. Or buyer may contact a local shipper. This is an as-is listing.
