Greek Gold Ornaments - $495 - (Cookeville, TN)

Group of seven hammered sheet gold ornaments, disk and dome shaped. They are each perforated for attachment, having geometric repousse decoration. Generally good condition, but with several dents, tears and light losses. Two of the ornaments display a reddish tone which is apparently due to copper "leeching" into the gold from the surrounding environment. Hellenistic Greek. Period: Ca. 4th century B.C .
