Vintage Steiff Mother Bear & Cub - $425 - (Summit, NJ)

This lovely Steiff teddy bear and her cub were issued in 1981 to commemorate Steiff's 100th anniversary, and as a complement to the Father Bear released the previous year. Like Papa, mother and baby's details are designed to replicate the construction, fabric and stitching of Steiff's original historic teddy from 1903. Steiff produced only 8,000 of these limited edition bears, exclusively for the American market.Both mother and cub include their raised Steiff buttons and flags, but are without their original box or limited edition certificate. The cub is secured on Mama's lap by an orange Steiff anniversary sash. They come from my mom's extensive Steiff collection (she's the original owner).Mother Bear measures 14" long and 9" wide, and her cub measures 6.5" by 4".Please note, I also offer Father Bear for sale if you'd like to keep the family together.Steiff EAN # 0155/38 Thanks,Sam
