Vintage Deco Chrome "Springer" Lounge chair Lloyd - $1,235 - (Saugatuck, MI)
This Machine age art deco chair was manufactured by (Karl Emmanuel Martin) KEM for Lloyd (see label still attached) in Michigan, guessing the 30's/40's Appears to be original vinyl covering with wool soft stuffing. Chrome is in very good condition, has minor pitting here and there but should polish up nicely. Tubular support also in very good condition. Comfortable "Psssshhhhhh" when you sit down, nice reclining/bounce and sit. Arms are lacquered wood (I'd guess birch or oak) and in perfect condition. As you can see in photos, chair is original...stuffing/batting coming out on one side of seat, front of piping on bottom cushion has small tear and hole. Otherwise, beautiful patina and original condition and very usable I purchased this chair about 30 years ago at an upscale antiques dealer. H 35" x W 25" x D 28" Beautiful mid-century specimen. Local pick up in Saugatuck, MI only. Or you can coordinate U-ship which is a good option for furniture used many times to come/pack/ship to your doorstep. I've enjoyed this chair very much for many years...hoping to give it a good next home.
