This three-run blast was the difference maker in the BOSOX 6-4 win over the MINNESOTA TWINS in the next to the last game of the 1967 season. On the following day the RED SOX again defeated the TWINS, thus narrowly edging out the TWINS, TIGERS and WHITE SOX for the '67 AMERICAN LEAGUE PENNANT. This historic homer by YAZ broke TED WILLIAMS' RED SOX record for single-season home runs by a left-handed hitter. This round-tripper positioned YASTRZEMSKI to win the TRIPLE CROWN, a feat not equaled again until 2012...45 years later...by Miguel Cabrera. This lithograph captures a view of historic FENWAY PARK prior to the installation of the seating above the GREEN MONSTER in left field. The view also captures iconic area landmarks visible from FENWAY, such as the CITGO sign above Kenmore Square behind the GREEN MONSTER and the PRUDENTIAL TOWER beyond the right field bleachers.
