1793 Chain Cent, VF25 S-4 Periods Obverse 1793 1C Chain, AMERICA, Periods, S-4, B-5, R.3, VF25 PCGS. There is no evidence of the die cracks that are usually visible at the lower left obverse. The periods after the date and LIBERTY on the obverse of this distinctive variety provide immediate identification, and they are both visible on this example. The surfaces are smooth intermingled tan and steel-brown on the obverse, and chocolate-brown on the reverse. A nice coin in this grade anyone would be glad to add this to there collection. The surfaces have trivial marks and small scratches that are only visible with a glass. A few rim marks are evident on the obverse. Our EAC grade VF20.
