Antique 1920s Singer Sewing Machine in Cabinet: Not Working, for Repair or Parts - $59 - (Sylva, NC)

I'm afraid I know absolutely nothing about sewing machines in general, and after 30 minutes of online research, I no little more about this particular machine -- other than I believe it to be from the 1920s (based on comparable models). I also know that it doesn't work -- likely because the electrical cord was damaged (looks like it was fused together by some extreme heat source). Also, the cabinet is in pretty bad shape, and may simply need to be scrapped. But I'll leave that to you... Lastly, I'm open to the idea of shipping it to you, but given the item’s size and weight, it might be difficult, if not also cost prohibitive. So, for now, I'm listing it for local pick-up only.
