Medium buff-brown pottery head, originally from a figure. Depicted with a long hairdo, with a pebble textured front. Open mouth with black bitumen painted teeth, pupils and ear ornaments. Scattered surface deposits. Mounted on a black hardwood base. Collection of Dr. Herbert J. Kayden and Dr. Gabrielle Reem Kayden, acquired 1960s - 70s. Mexico - Early Post Classic Periods Culture or Country: Remojadas, Veracruz, Mexico. Period: Ca. 600-900 A.D. Size: 5-5/8" High, plus the mount.
