There were a few differences including large armature and field coils (astatically wound), gold commutator, and a diamond jewel bearing. This model was offered for use (with shunts) on circuits from 100 to 20,000 amperes, with larger shunts available on request.(THIS WAS FOUND ON THE INTERNET) THE MODEL R IS VERY HARD TO FIND. RARE, RARE, MUSEUM QUALITY, DUNCAN WATTHOUR METER, SERIAL No. 1198069, 3-WIRE, TYPE DC, 800 AMP, 220 VOLTS. IT WEIGHS 35 POUNDS, MEASURES ABOUT 12" TALL 8" WIDE AND ABOUT 8" DEEP.
