Victorian style newel post with fluted panels, and rosettes, and classic finial - $499 - (Blanco, TX)

This sale is for a high quality Victorian style newel post with authentic style fluted panels, and rosettes. At the top is a classic style Victorian finial. Both the rosettes, and the finial have the deep, sharp detail of a post turned in the 1800's. The post has a smooth primer finish which is ready for a final coat of paint. It can be used outdoor, but only if it has cover from rain. It is better suited for indoor use, and would make a great starting newel for a stair case. The last photo, (shown above) has the top molding, and finial removed, in order to show the construction. The hollow core allows for the post to be slid over a mounting posts which may be pre-installed on stairs. The finial may also be removed, for using as is, or replaced by a lamp or other. Rosettes can also be removed for railing attachments, if necessary. The foot print of the post measures approximately 7-1/2" square. The middle of the posts (fluted panel area), measures 6" x 22". The rosette blocks measure 4-1/2" x 4-1/2". The diameter of the finial measures 5-3/8". The height of the posts measured to the bottom of the finial, is 37-1/2". The finial is 6-1/2" tall. The overall length of the post, to top of finial = 44". The bottom of the post can be extended by the user, by simply adding moldings to a pre-installed post, prior to installing the newel.
