Lot of 3 Empty PROJECTOR FILM REELS 15 inch Pre-1950s Goldberg Bros Empty House Reels Reels are imprinted with these words: Goldberg Bros 20 Minutes Denver Colo 2000 Feet Made in U.S.A. HISTORY: The term "house reel" refers to solid heavy constructed sturdy reels owned by the movie theater. Films would arrive on flimsier "shipping reels," and would then be wound onto house reels like these for projection. I have listed several lots of different style reels. ALL of my reels are HOUSE REELS, used in our family owned theater in the early to mid 1900s. My mother dates all of them as pre-1950.
