RARE VINTAGE, NAVY 50 STAR UNION JACK FLAG. 1960 - 75 ERA 2 FEET X 3 FEET. - $300 - (Milford, DE)

For your consideration I present a rare 50 star US Naval Jack flag. The 50th star was added to the jack in 1960 and this jack was used during the Viet Nam War on Naval Vessels, USNS Vessels and Vessels of US Commerce. This jack was used from July 4th1960 until July 4th 1975. It was flown from a staff at the bow of the vessel. This flag is near perfect but does show fabric loss on about half of the stars on the obverse side that has degraded during storage, no moth damage, tears or stains. I cannot determine the cause of this damage but it is there. Check the pictures but be assured that the damage does not impact the integrity of the flag. It measures 2' X 3' and would be spectacular framed and hung on your wall. It was found in a tattered brown paper wrapper and was the property of a deceased Viet Nam Veteran. It is a treasure.
