1947 University of Penn Baseball Hat and Sweater Pennsylvania College Sports - $299 - (Absecon, NJ)

This is a 1947 baseball sweater and cap that belonged to the Captain of the University of Penn baseball team. He won letters in 1943, 47 and 48 and was an all star player in 1947.Pennsylvania The sweater is made of thick maroon wool with a navy blue Letter P made of felt. It has a boatneck with cuffed sleeves and was made by Pearson The Complete Sporting Goods Store in Philadelphia. The hat is made of navy blue wool felt with an orange felt P. Size 42 Sweater Measurements: Length-27". Chest-40". Waist-34. Shoulder-18". Inseam Sleeve Length-23". Condition: The plastic adjustable tab on the back of the hat is broken on one side and the wool is faded and worn. There are several moth holes and stains in the sweater.
