vintage coalbrookdale cast iron safe/ strongbox with original working lock and key.29 in long,16 in high and 18 +1/2 in deep.the main body was cast in one piece , the top a separate casting contains the locking mechanism.these were used to store gold, money and other valuables for railroads, churches and other governmental entities.it probably weighes more than 200 pounds.
