Magnificent Meissen Germany porcelain Pastry Seller figurine #117Y from the Cris de Paris series.Modeled by J. J. Kaendler (1706-1775) and Michel Peter Reinicke (1.715-1.728). Reinicke modeler of the Meissen Cris de Paris series was inspired by the many street vendors he saw during his visit to Paris in the early eighteenth century. The figurine depicts a Girl carrying a basket with pretzels and breads. Measures approx. 5 1/2 in (14 cm) Height x 3 in (7.5 cm) across at widest point x 2 1/4 in (6 cm) depth. Has the underglaze Meissen blue crossed swords seal at the bottom, incised numbers 117Y, 30 and the original label from the famous Whaliss porcelain store in Karntner Strase Vienna Austria. According to this seal it was manufactured in 1815-1934. The porcelain is in mint condition. Please see the pictures as they are the best description. A great addition to your porcelain collection.
