Denoyer-Geppert 16" Visual Relief Mariner 9 Mars Globe a very rare 1st Edition (1973) color lithograph globe with wood base made by Denoyer-Geppert Co., Chicago, IL the 1st Edition globe incorporated imagery retrieved by the unmanned Mariner 9 NASA space probe mission that reached the planet Mars in late 1971 artwork by J. Inge and mapping/cartography by the United States Geological Survey, Branch of Astrogeology, with data provided by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA the scale of the globe is 1:16,700,000 in very good condition for its age with a small scratch and part of the plastic trim coming up (please see photos). These could be fixed. the original gold foil label on its wood base is still intact please see photos and do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions
