2003 R John Wright Thomas Nast's Santa Claus doll. Santa Claus is a 18” tall felt doll dressed in a plush deep rust red, alpaca brown fur trimmed tunic, pants and a matching hat with felt mistletoe. Buckled hand cobbled brown leather shoes and belt complete his ensemble. His wig and beard are mohair, his eyes are brown. Santa carries a canvas leather buckled backpack, a wooden rocking horse on wheels, a dolly in a blue dress, a long chain aged brass pocket watch, metal sword removable from sheath, a paper fan, mother goose nursery rhymes printed book, a water bucket, long handled clay pipe and paper scroll tied with a ribbon of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas” poem by Clement Clark Moore.
