Rare 1960s silk screened fabric "Scrimshaw" from Key West Hand Print by Susie Zuzek, designer for Lilly Pulitzer fabrics. Hard to find pattern features multiple interpretations of detailed ivory engraving, originating on Nantucket whale ships. Motifs include various ships, 18th century lady loves waiting at home, a mother and father in a parlor setting, flowers, fish, deer, whales and a cabin boy and ship's cat all depicted on a tooth or tusk. Saturated design is printed in orange creme on a tangelo base. Crisp and clean, fabric is unused and unwashed with all sizing intact. Fabric measures 44 1/2" selvage to selvage and is sold by the half yard (18" length). There is one yard available and a purchase of both will be sent as a continuous cut.
