RARE Vtg. MCM Bertha Schafer Singer & Sons Nesting Occasional Tables Gio Ponti - $799 - (Louisville, KY)
Very hard to find set of Mid Century Nesting tables by Bertha Schafer for Singer & Sons. Very solid and stable. Unmarked. Great patina. The wood maybe teak. The rectangular table is 24 3/8" long x 16 5/8" wide x 21 1/2" tall. Some very light wear and a small burn on the top. The 4 round drop leaf tables are 15" in diameter x 19" tall. One table has a round, what appears to be a water stain, and a small burn. Another table has a very slight split on the edge-both as pictured. Otherwise, all original condition and some typical age related signs of wear. One table has a small nick that cannot be seen when the leaves are raised. The tapered legs unscrew and will be for shipping. Some of the round table legs show some wear/ finish loss.
