Nickel free ankle bracelets are custom made with chains made of anodized aluminum, a permanent, irreversible chemical change to the outer (exposed) surface of the aluminum that will not crack, blister, or peel over time the way plating does. Closing the bracelet involves pulling the straight bar through the circular ring, giving a higher level of security than lobster clasps. Toggle clasps are made of Tibetan silver, a nickel free, zinc alloy resistant to tarnish, gold plated in the gold chain version. Heart beads are clear acrylic with aurora borealis (multi-color rainbow hues) plating; butterflies are genuine faceted crystal. Head pins are plated brass; accessory beads are silver or gold plated acrylic. Aluminum chains make these anklets surprisingly light in weight and easy to wear in stacks. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ANKLE MEASUREMENT BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER. Either a measuring tape or string can give accurate measurement. The 8 inch will accommodate ankles to 7-3/4 inches; 9 inch to 8-3/4 inches; 10 inch to 9-3/4 inches.
