Rare 1914 ZEISS IKON NIXE Dual Roll & Sheet Film CAMERA - $245 - (Eureka, CA)

This is an auction for a super rare 1914 ZEISS IKON NIXE 575/1 folding double extension dual format pocket camera. This medium format camera takes both roll film and sheet film for 3 1/4 x 5 1/4in negatives. The camera comes with the roll film back and features a Carl Zeiss TESSAR Jena 150mm f/4.5 lens #852438 with a #258646 D.R.P. Compur shutter with speeds of 1sec to 1/200sec with TIME and BULB. The bellows is in very like-new condition, still flexible, one small tape repair, no visible tears, splits or holes. The glass lens elements are excellent front and rear, no haze, no fog, no cleaning marks, no scratches, etc. The double extension bellows is for macro photography. The iris works smooth, the shutter speeds are accurate, even at the slower speeds. The back inside film compartment is stamped #N52492. The red liquid level works excellent, the 3 view finders are all excellent, the smaller swivel view finder needs a little glass cleaning.
