F/Bb Full Double French Horn, Reynolds Contempora - $1,150 - (Baltimore, MD)

Offered for sale is a Reynolds Contempora nickel silver, F/Bb Full Double French horn. This one is previously owned. The horn is made of lacquered nickel silver, though, from years of use, the lacquer is about 60% in tact. This horn was made in the late 1960's. Its serial number is 382404. The horn is free of major dents. Only small dimples remain here and there. The notes of this horn slot tightly though there is some wear on the valves. The intonation is good and the large, warm sound has much carrying power to the back of a concert hall with minimal required input. The horn comes in a molded vinyl, fixed bell, hard case. The case is good shape though shows some use. Also, disregard the dates on the photos with the pale blue background. they were taken with an old camera on which the date was not correctly set. The buyer shall pay a calculated, Federal Express shipping cost based on the size and weight of the item as well as the buyer's location. Maryland residents shall pay 6% Maryland sales tax.
