1962 Mickey Thompson Challenger 1 Bonneville salt flats Utah. In September 1960 Mickey Thompson one of the world famous merchants, draw his famous Challenger 1 across the barren salt flats at Bonneville Utah at speed of 406.6 MPH. This blazing speed earned for Thompson the credit of having gone faster on wheels then any other human, and only an unfortunate mechanical breakdown on the return run prevented him from achieving the official World's Land Speed record. This car is built from original 60's kit molded in blue pearl, 9 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide and 2" high in excellent condition. Original vintage Monogram Revell adjustable alloy chassis with high power motor, brass gears. Never raced. Recently new tires. Tested, runs and display great.
