ANTIQUE VTG JAPANESE SATSUMA BUTTON BROOCH, GOLD MORIAGE, WISTERIA, SWALLOW BIRD - $80 - (Flagstaff, AZ)

Here is a beautiful antique vintage Japanese Satsuma pottery button with a heavy jeweller crafted antique gold filled pin back to fashion it into a brooch. It depicts hand painted wisteria flowers encrusted with gold moriage and a swallow all centered in a cobalt rimmed scene. It measures approximately 1 3/16" diameter. Very good antique condition, there is some wax residue on the back where someone applied wax to keep the pinback from moving, but it only partially remains. We don't find any maker's marks.
