Antique Japanese Wedding Furisode with Sho-Chiku-Bai -the Three Friends of Winter For your consideration is this antique wedding furisode from the Meiji Period (1868 - 1912). This beautiful kimono is embroidered with cranes and floral including bamboo, plum, and pine, also known as "sho-chiku-bai" or the "three friends of winter." These plants do not wither as the cold days turn to winter like other plants do. Together they symbolize resilience, steadfastness, and perseverance. This particular wedding furisode has five mons and is in very good condition for its age. Both interior lining and exterior shell are made of 100% fine Japanese silk. Displayed on a wall or a rack, this would be the perfect touch for room decor!
