Uncommon Vintage Mizo puan ceremonial skirt / textile. These are made in small numbers, so they are not seen in the market very often. Very finely woven warp-faced plain weave of three panels of cotton(some small magenta chevrons seem to be silk) with discontinuous 2-faced supplementary weft patterning in wool and cotton. Made in Chin State, Myanmar (Burma) or Mizoram, India. In good condition with minor stains, minor loss to embroidery and a few pulled threads. I have not attempted to clean it. Size: 40” wide at decorative end bands; 43” wide at center x 62” excluding fringes, which are 1” long on one end and 1-1/2” on the other end.
