VINTAGE 1930'S FLOWER APPLIQUE QUILT SOME FEEDSACK SCALLOP EDGE PASTEL 66 x 74 - $50 - (Macon, GA)

Please email with any questions. Circa 1930's applique cotton quilt, 66" by 74", white ground on the front, blue on the back, scalloped edge with blue border, blue binding. The quilting is hand sewn and the flowers and leaves are also hand sewn with a blanket stitch in a variety of bold colors. There is a grid pattern surrounding each flower in faded blue and pink feedsack- the colors are now just a whisper of what they probably were originally. The batting is fairly thin- this is basically a summer-weight quilt in pretty colors. The material chosen for a couple of the flowers has not stood up well and needs replacing, a couple of sections of the grid material has shredded and needs replacing. There's a repaired mark on one of the blue pennants on the edge and the binding needs replacing. A couple of faint stains but the quilt looks and smells clean.
