LOVELY VINTAGE IVORY CREAM 40'S EMBROIDERED WEDDING GOWN SZ S - $50 - (Memphis, TN)
Gorgeous ivory 40's vintage wedding gown embellished with lots of embroidery. The dress zips up the back with a metal zipper and has underling netting to make it stand out which was the fashion of the day. It has a scoop scalloped neckline with a princess style dropped waist which in the back is accentuated by a lovely bow. Sleeves are 3/4 length. The dress is covered in an embroidered floral design extending down the front of the dress. The material is most likely satin, but there are no tags for verification. There is a large pleat extending the length of the skirt in the back which opens into a fan when fully extended. Waist measurement is 27 inches, shoulder-to-shoulder 15.5 inches, bust 31 inches and overall length 40 inches. There are no stains but do see about a 1 inch area of fraying right at the hem line. A 1 inch hem would take care of the problem.
