HOMER LEDFORD DULCIMER with plush case and book - EXCELLENT - $800 - (Stamford, VT)

Beautiful vintage dulcimer made by the legendary builder HOMER LEDFORD. Known as one of the formost Kentucky builders of the 20th century. This is a rare double middle string model. The body is made of a beautifully figured Walnut and the top Tulip Poplar. The poplar is over 100 years old as written and signed on the inside label. It was made in 1977 numbered # 4673. Homer Ledford catalogued all of his instruments as to when they were made and who they were sold to and this dulcimer is on the list. Included is a plush lined case also in excellent condition and the book“ Dulcimer Maker The Craft Of Homer Ledford”. This dulcimer has a beautiful sound and has been meticulously cared for.
