RARE AND IN FANTASTIC CONDITION ! This magnificent BLACK KID ON HIS TRICYCLE is in fantastic condition, and made in pre-war Japan in the 1930's. This toy is about 8" tall and 8" long with a black, CELLULOID, kid dressed in SILK clothes, on a METAL tricycle with 3 WHITE RUBBER TIRES, all in excellent condition. The tires are in perfect shape and hardened with age. Each tire is marked, "SPECIAL TYRE-MADE IN JAPAN". The windup motor, with key, works smoothly & perfectly as the kid pedals his trike in a circle with articulated tin legs. His body is made of tin and his head is celluloid, with NO cracks but a shallow dent on the back of his head. His hands are also celluloid. For a toy almost 100 years old, it is in beautiful condition with minimal play wear and absolutely NO rust, touch-up, or abuse. Entire toy is 100% original and complete, with a shiny, decorative bell, that was NOT made to function, or intended to ring like a bell. Its only purpose is to serve as a shiny accessory.
