Diecast Plane EDISON AIR LINE H.F. Macchi Nieuport 11 “Bebe” WW 1 Fighter Plane - $120 - (Uniontown, OH)

This is the very difficult to find Macchi Nieuport 11 “Bebe” 1916 World War 1 Fighter airplane version made in Italy by Edison Giocattoli S.p.A. The scale 1/72 and is made of diecast Metal. The Nieuport 11 was one of several limited production, diecast aircraft made in Italy by Edison. This airplane has moveable ailerons and rear stabilizer surfaces. Includes original clear plastic display case. This airplane was flown by Italian Fighter Ace Francesco Baracca scoring his first victory on February 12, 1916.manufactured by Sopwith and entered service in early 1917. I have owned this scale aircraft for 20 years and have never remove the plane from its cradle until these photos were taken. The detail on this model is exact and the finish is immaculate. It looks like brand new. This is the first time offered for sale from my personal collection of 11 different Edison Giocattoli scale aircraft. This is Edison Giocattoli’s model number 1004 and is one of their “Heroes Wings” Series WW 1 1/72 scale Fighter airplanes.
