Vintage SS Stewart Special Thoroughbred 1898 - $850 - (Cambria, CA)

I am selling a few of my very special, select, Old 5 string banjos..I have a very nice collection and every one of them is set up and ready to play. This is a Gorgeous survivor.. An Historic SS Stewart "Special Thoroughbred".. I had Banjo Luthier, "Guru" Roger Simminoff set this banjo up for me. He reset the neck, put a Jos Rogers head on it, and did final set up..This banjo plays great and sounds terriffic..The rossette on tailpiece is a Mark Ralston reproduction..All my banjos will have Aquilla Nyla-gut strings... This banjo is all ready to play and enjoy for another 100 years. I have shipped and received many fragile expensive instruments. My banjos will ship in a guitar size box with an absurd amount of bubble-wrap for protection.. i have never shipped one that got damaged..Though i have received many that were..
