Each chair in this set of six 19th century side chairs measures 44"high, 18 1/2" wide, and 22" deep, with a seat height of 18 3/4". Three feature light tones leather upholstered seats, while the other three are upholstered in a darker tones leather. All six display elaborately carved serpentine edged crest rails, with traditional French Renaissance hand-carved scrolling acanthus, floral, and lattice relief cameos framed by the final topped side rails. The spacious caned backs are situated above the turned spindle rails, which separate the beveled and scalloped molding from above and below. Raised on tasteful turned legs with simple relief collars and slightly tapered arrow feet, these elegant chairs are in good overall condition with some age appropriate signs of wear and use.
