Here is a beautifully restored Gamewell Fire Alarm Call Box Telephone from Hello Central Antique Telephone Company. The Fire Alarm Telephone Box is an original Gamewell "Inner Mechanism Box" made of cast aluminum. This is Not a replica Gamewell Box. Attached to the front door of the fire box is a beautiful designed Fire Department "Maltese Cross" identification medallion. The Fire Alarm Call Box and Telephone have a powder coated (baked on enamel) finish with professional hand painted "Gold" lettering. The Fire Department "Maltese Cross" measures 5 3/4 inches across. The Maltese Cross Fire Department medallion is made of a Cast Aluminum with Red powder coating and also highlighted in Gold. Attached along side of the Fire Alarm Call Box is a 1930-40's Western Electric Model 211 Telephone that has been converted for use on today's telephone system. The telephone handset is the older F style made of bakelite. The modern day telephone components are located inside of the Fire Alarm Box. A "VOIP" Voice Over Internet Protocol Telephone System such as available through Vontage or other Internet Carrier will require a converter not provided in this auction. This Gamewell Fire Alarm Call Box Telephone will work fine with regular telephone service.
