Antique Circa Mid/Late 1800’s Wood Dome Top Travel Trunk/Chest Gold/Yellow in Color. Solid wood construction with decorative metal overlay. Opens up to a removable wood 3 sectional divided tray. Large bottom storage space. Interior is lined with gold velvet material. Measurement: 28” Long X 19” Tall X 16” Deep The chest is structurally sound and in good usable condition. Aesthetically, in my opinion is in good condition considering it’s age. The gold/yellow color on the outside does not appear original and has been painted this color at some point. Has 2 latches, one on each side of the center locking latch. All 3 latches are not working and do not latch/close. The dome top closes and is flush but can not locked with the original hardware. The Leather Handles have deteriorated and both sides are missing. Overall it is a beautiful truck great for home decor, a unique place to store blankets, or an adorable child’s to box.
