A beautiful example of the lasting quality of Gibson guitars, this spruce top, mahogany body 1936 L-00 embodies a warm, inviting sound with tonal character that comes only with time. A real firestripe turtle-shell pick guard is the icing on the cake, giving the guitar a "fingerprint" that makes it unique from all others. All in all, a wonderful vintage guitar that plays as easily as if it was made yesterday, set up with a low action and fair amount of saddle left on the bridge. Two minor, repaired cracks on the back of the guitar have developed due to its age, along with an expected bit of wear throughout. The guitar is structurally in perfect condition, with no major issues in binding or wood joints, and the original finish has remained in great condition, retaining its mirror-like sheen. A fantastic specimen of a well-taken care of vintage acoustic guitar.
