Wooton Rotary Antique Walnut Writing Desk, Circa 1880s - $3,450 - (Ann Arbor, MI)

Wooton Rotary Antique Writing Desk, Circa 1880s, in remarkable original condition. Shows it's 140 years of use proudly, still with lots of life left, and amazingly still with all of the original cardboard filing boxes, complete with filing labels from the 1930s. Possibly owned at that time by an attorney, based on the labels. The leather top insert shows heavy wear, but lifts out and could be easily recovered. Measurements: 59 3/4” W x 32 5/8” D x 31” H. Please see photos for details regarding the condition. The rotary doors work well, but do sag a bit, most visible on the left side (see last photo highlighting the gap between the frame and the rotating cabinet, and the corresponding slight protrusion of the filing section on the left side). This could probably be fixed by realigning the cabinet and reinforcing the hinges. No keys.
