ANTIQUE EDISON STANDARD MODEL D TOP BEDPLATE PARTS UNIT - $60 - (Holden, MA)

Up for bid is a nice antique Edison Standard Model D bedplate parts unit. It measures approximately 10 ¼ inches long by 7 ½ inches wide by 4 inches tall. The serial number is 770924. This unit is missing a lot of parts and is therefore being sold as is for parts, repair or restoration. Please inspect the pictures carefully for a better idea of what is present and what is not. Overall the unit is in good condition. The top of the bedplate is very dirty and dusty throughout and shows many spots of caked on grease and oil throughout, especially below where the mandrel would have been and along the left side gear cluster. The paint shows moderate to heavy surface scratching, dullness, scuffing, general wear and paint wear throughout. There are some areas of nicking, chipping and flaking to the paint along the exterior edges throughout, especially surrounding the mounting holes and along the left side throughout. Almost all of the original pin striping is still present with the exception of some areas along the front right side corner. The bottom of the bedplate is very dirty and dusty throughout with many spots of caked on grease and oil throughout. The four brackets and eight springs to attach a motor to the underside of the bedplate are all present. See pictures for a better idea of condition. Item Photos click to enlarge
