About the Artist Dorothy Laura Dodworth ScullinĀ (1929-2014) was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and graduated from Winchester Thurston School ('47), Chatham University (BA '51) and Rhode Island School of Design (BFA '52). She was assistant librarian at Robbins Library in Arlington, and loved books and reading passionately. Dorothy was also a children's book author and illustrator with Young Scott Books / Scholastic and created the notable Doodlepunk series: A Dangerous Day for Mrs. Doodlepunk, Mrs. Doodlepunk Trades Work, and Look Out, Mrs. Doodlepunk! She was an artist, working in watercolor, oil, and other media, and showed in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
