African Tribal Hand Carved Log Congo Drum dated and signed. Made in Durban, South Africa from a hollowed out tree trunk with animal skin pegged in place. I have no idea who made the drum or how old it really is but it was Signed and dated by C.P. Woods in 1942 and there is a little drawing of an African native... with the nature of the drawing reflecting the time period. It measures 15-1/2” tall and 9” across the drum surface. The body of the drum is hand carved in an African native design on either buschmango or traditional Lenke’ Wood. This is the real deal and was signed in 1942 by the maker or an artist. The drum is authentic and untouched.
