African American Perspectives Tour of the Detroit Historical Museum - N.A. - (Detroit, MI)

Detroit's African American history spans from slavery and the Underground Railroad in the 1700s and 1800s to the Great Migration of the early to mid 1900s. The history of Black Bottom & Paradise Valley, as well as boxer Joe Louis & Mayor Coleman Young will be discussed on this tour. And don't forget Motown & Aretha Franklin. Please join historian and Tour Leader Jamon Jordan as he leads this tour of Detroit's Black History at the Detroit Historical Museum. The entire tour takes place INSIDE of the Detroit Historical Museum! We Meet in the lobby of the Detroit Historical Museum at 10:30am.
