I sold this instrument, sold it myself, fifty years ago. The buyer was a fine fellow who lived near Wichita who turned out to be a good friend. "One man band", he told me. The Musser was for the set-up he used: cymbals, drum beaters, whistles, harmonicas....attached to every part of his body. He took off the long legs and trashed them. That means you can use his set-up and play the instrument while seated or you can wait a few days until the new long legs (ordered from Musser today) arrive. Same price, of course. My good friend expired decades ago and the instrument passed to his son. .And the son died a couple of months back. That means I recently acquired this fine marimba from the estate. "Kelon" bars, though. Not wood. Some smudging to the bars 'cause the owner painted the key names in white. Rubbed out by us this morning. Acquired from the estate sale last week. VERY original, no damage,. Musser M-31, not perfect, but no damage and nearly pristine. Suggested retail price is now $5483.
