They're intended for practice on any hard surface and should not leave dent marks. Unfortunately this stick is no longer being produced, as the Johnny Rabb drum stick company went out of business 10 or more years ago. That's too bad because a lot of their products were useful and well made, and their Tennessee hickory was of high quality.
