Antique Victorian Basket Cherubs & Bird Finial Meriden Silverplate Basket - $125 - (Cuyahoga Falls, OH)

Lovely Victorian Quadruple Silverplate basket #01600 with floral swing handle with bird finial and cherub cutouts on sides by Meriden Silverplate Co. Hallmarked on bottom as pictured. Basket measures 12“ long, 14 1/2“ high to top of handle, 5“ high to rim of basket, and is 8 1/2“ wide. Basket has a pedestal base with a ribbed and floral band. Flared and scalloped basket with a bright cut design in center. Each side of handle has a large round cut out of a cherub or putti sitting and reading a book at base and an applied floral design on swing handle with a bird of paradise finial. Basket has some loss to plate mostly on high spots in ribbed basket area and one area on the side beneath a cherub as can be seen in photos, but is otherwise in overall very good antique condition.
