Antique CHICAGO THRIFT CO BARREL BANK 1923 National Security "It Pays to Save" Chicago Thrift Co. Barrel Bank with a patent date of June 12th, 1923. One end reads “National Security Bank of Chicago, Milwaukee, Chicago, and Ogden Avenues, Chicago, Ill.” The other end reads “Member Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, IT PAYS TO SAVE EVERY DAY, Pat. June 12th, 1923, Chicago Thrift Co.” It is in good shape overall, however there is a small crack on the side (see photo). I do not have the key, there are a couple of coins inside.
