Vintage Rupp Jeep go kart AMC dealer promo cart - $900 - (Gastonia, NC)

Up for consideration is a vintage Rupp Jeep go kart. I have owned this kart since it was new (mid to late 70s), and it's been stored since the mid 80's. From the information I have found online, it appears these karts (Gremlin, Beetle, and Jeep) shared the same basic kart frame and were AMC dealer promos. The body on this kart is very good; no cracks, breaks or repairs. It only has some minor wear from normal, light use. Steel bars were welded to the kart frame when it was new, to form a "cage" around the body to prevent damage. The body was not used very much, and stored most of the time. The remainder of the bars are in the front and underneath the kart (shown in pics). They should be easy to remove. The kart has it's original Clinton 3hp motor. The motor turns freely, but is not currently running due to no spark. The tires are original, and the left front will need to be replaced. There is a body mount that has broken loose from the floor pan, and will need to be welded back on (seen in the pics of the frame without the body installed). The biggest defect of the kart is a missing seat. It was plastic, and shattered when the kart was fairly new. Please ask any questions.
