22" Mary Todd Lincoln Wax over Porcelain Doll NIADA Artist Faith Wick 1974 RARE - $350 - (Hurricane, UT)
I am liquidating part of my grandmothers estate. She was an expert doll collector and restorer for 60 plus years. 22" Artist Doll of Mary Todd Lincoln, by Faith Wick, 1974. Shoulderhead, hands and boots are wax over porcelain. She has a painted face and brown human hair in ringlets. Cloth body, arms and legs. Arms and legs have a wire in them so they hold a pose. Clothes - Dress, bonnet, slip, pantaloons, undershirt. Boots have button detail on the side. Clothes are original to the doll and handmade. I did not take the clothes off this doll. Accessories - Beaded purse and parasol. COND. - Excellent - All fingers and no damage to wax covered areas. Her skin tone is very pale. MARK - FW 74 is carved into the wax at the base of her shoulderplate in back. It is very faint. This is an original doll by artist Faith Wick. A NIADA member.
